Perth’s sporting teams are in limbo, as a large number of fields remain closed to training due to heavy rains, a ban that could continue into the weekend.

Perth Today host Simon Beaumont discussed the widespread impact with Bruce Gilly, Vice President of Ocean Ridge Junior Football Club, and Tim Marley, Head of Metropolitan Junior Competitions at the WA Football Commission.

Marley explained the immediate challenge: ‘We’ve got 12 matches that are affected this Friday night so that’s our priority to sort those matches and then we’ll work with the club as to what any change would look like to try and get these games up and going.’
