Perth’s all-inclusive Christmas celebrations

The City of Perth wants to ensure all bases are covered when it comes to their Christmas celebrations this upcoming holiday season.

But the former Anglican Dean of Perth says it’s not an issue for most unbelievers and doesn’t understand why it’s an issue for the City of Perth.

“My experience of dealing with people of all faiths and none is that they have no problem with Christians celebrating Christmas particularly if they’ve come to Australia and they don’t want to see it watered down,” Richard Pengelly, told Steve and Baz.

“I don’t know where the complaints are coming from.”

The 6PR Breakfast listeners joined the debate with an array of opinions.

City of Perth Commissioner, Andrew Hammond then joined Mornings with Gareth Parker to explain the policy.
