While the charismatic character is now focusing on a 24-hour challenge and planning a 100-kilometre run, he told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that the ‘Cactus Marathon’ had the greatest reward: a new girlfriend.

“During the cactus marathon, I let this girl know my stuff got stolen and she came at midnight and dropped some extra food for me so that was really sweet. And then yesterday I made her my girlfriend so that was really special,” he said.
