Bruce Reynolds, a candidate for Perth Lord Mayor, has pledged to make Perth Australia’s safest capital city if elected.

He explained to Perth Live host Oliver Peterson his interest in trialling a community safety officer program, much like Melbourne’s, and is also considering a ban on CBD-hired e-scooters.

“In the capital city, I’ve got a feeling that I don’t think we’re quite ready for the technology that’s evolved as quickly as it has,” he said.”
