A Perth Live listener contacted Oliver Peterson to inform him about a fake Facebook account made under his name with a picture of Oly and his family as the profile picture.

The scammer was targeting people to giveaway their personal details for winning the ‘special giveaway event 2022,’ which is not a valid competition run on Perth Live.

Caller Liz told Oly that there are several posts under the fake account, saying “register for a prize, send receipt in comments or private message with phone number” and a link to a website asking for your banking details.

We are urging everyone to be careful with these types of posts and to only follow our main social pages at either @NewsTalk6pr or @OliverPeterson6pr.
