A charity soccer match between Perth Glory and ECU Joondalup will be played at Dorrien Gardens on Tuesday night to raise funds for one-punch victim Danny Hodgson who remains in a coma.

British born Mr Hodgson, who plays at ECU Joondalup, has been fighting for his life since September 5 when an alleged attack by a 15-year-old boy outside Perth train station left him unconscious.

His parents have flown out from the UK to be by his side.

He recently turned 26 and was sent get well messages from Manchester United players Dean Henderson and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ellis Healing, a teammate at ECU Joondalup Football Club, says it’s been a rough time for the team.

“It hasn’t been easy but all the lads have grouped together and done as best as we can,” he told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

Tickets to the game cost $10 with gates opening at 6pm and kick-off at 7pm.
