Bus services on about 30 routes across Perth are affected today due to what Transperth has called “COVID-related staff shortages’.

Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said about 12 bus drivers from the one bus depot were out of action either through contracting COVID or being close contacts.

“There’s about 12 driver shifts that are cancelled today out of 1800 shifts across the network,” she told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“There’s about 17,000 trips along the network, and 60-70 trips are being affected.”
