Perth is in for a night of wild weather as The Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for destructive winds, abnormally high tides and damaging surf on Tuesday morning.

The powerful gusts could get up to 125kph tonight and tomorrow morning..

9News Weather Presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs says a low pressure system will move across the south bringing downpours.

“The heaviest downpours should be around dinner time, and that’s when we’re maybe looking at another 15 millimetres,” she said.

“Winds up to 125kph are possible, but we’re more looking at between 80 and 90 kilometres an hour.”
