Perth apartment block used for quarantine evacuated

6PR Breakfast

An apartment block with guests quarantining in Perth had to be evacuated this morning after a fire alarm went off.

The Mont Clare Boutique Apartments on Hay Street were evacuated this morning.

6PR reporter Anne Naylor was on the scene and spoke to one woman who was quarantined at the apartment and had to evacuate for a short time while fire crews were on the scene.

“She told me she has been isolating at the Mont Clare apartments,” she told 6PR Breakfast.

“She’s in her last two days from quarantine because she had arrived from Brisbane.”

The woman said some floors were being used for hotel quarantine.

The apartment block was also listed as a COVID-19 exposure site.
