‘Pathetic’: Eagles skipper defends Dockers’ ruckman after media rips into him

Eagles captain Luke Shuey has come to the defence of Dockersā young gun Luke Jackson after he was blasted in a local media outlet, despite only having played two games for his new club.
Shuey is in full support of Jackson and said the 21-year-old is a “good player” and will be a “star for years to come”.
The skipper told Adam Papalia onĀ WWOSĀ the media need to respect players.
“I thought the treatment of Luke was pathetic,” said Shuey.

“I think our media nationwide need to have a bit more care for our players.”
Fremantle has also shared their support for Jackson, with defender Luke Ryan saying the team is behind him.
