Passionate fans relishing Man United’s Perth tour
The football frenzy has begun in Perth, with four Premier League clubs in town for two blockbuster fixtures against each other this weekend at Optus Stadium.
A training session for glamour club Manchester United at the WACA on Thursday sold out, with 5000 local fans snapping up tickets to watch their heroes, echoing demand for similar events involving Leeds United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace across Perth.
Perth Manchester United Supporters Club chairman Lee Stroud told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast among the events for diehard Reds fans, the supporters club was doing a fundraiser for one-punch attack victim and former promising soccer star Danny Hodgson at Crown Perth.
“Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier… the more money we can raise for Danny Hodgson, the better for his rehabilitation and everything like that,” he said.
