Parents have been warned to stay vigilant after new data released by RAC Roadside Assistance revealed an alarming number of children were left inside locked cars across Perth in 2022.

A total of 304 children and 186 pets were rescued from cars last year, and some rescues took place on Perth’s hottest days.

“I see this all the time – in 30 degree heat, cars pulling up, parents getting out and leaving the kids inside the car – I am not surprised,” Karl said on 6PR Breakfast.
