Parenting author Dannielle Miller has poo-poo’d an American parenting expert’s advice that we shouldn’t high-five children because they’re not our equals.

The family psychologist says John Rosemond’s notion that kids we high-five are likely to start disobeying you was based on an outdated “brand of expertise” and didn’t work.

“Doesn’t he just sound like he’d be fun at parties,” she joked with stand-in 6PR Breakfast co-hosts Julie-anne Sprague and Mark Gibson.

“This expert had a radio show of his own called ‘Because I Said So‘.”
