Outcry after banks give up on cash handling

There has been another public outcry against banks, this time for cutting down on cash deposits in branches across the country.
Council of the Ageing Australia CEO Patricia Sparrow spoke to 6PR Breakfast about the effects cuts in physical transactions are having on the public, especially the elderly.
“It’s really difficult for older people who for a variety of reasons are not really comfortable using digital services. Cash is still legal tender, they should be able to use it,” Ms Sparrow said.
