Australian Nursing Federation WA boss Mark Olson says members are angry with Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson’s comments on Thursday the union was being disingenuous, claiming she has yet to attend any meetings as the pay dispute stalemate between nurses and the McGowan government continues.

Olson’s frustration was evident in an interview with Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings, saying all of the government’s offers had been presented to members and they were now stalling on settling with the union.

“We’re sitting around the negotiating table trying to make the most of what the government is putting on the table,” he said.

“She announced yesterday they were going to spend five months doing an audit [on patient ratios] … I’m telling you now Liam, they know exactly what the profiles are right now.

“What they’re doing is kicking the ratio can down the road.”
