Nurses forced to work 24-hour shifts at Fiona Stanley

At least two Intensive Care Unit nurse have been reportedly forced to work 24-hour shifts this week.
9 News reporter Michael Genovese told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings he believed the nurses worked shifts from 7am Wednesday until 7am Thursday.
“It is due to a potentially deadly combination of low staff levels for these ICU nurses at Fiona Stanley Hospital and what has been described as unprecedented demand inside that unit,” Mr Genovese said.
“We put these claims to to Health Department, and what we got in response was an admission that it did happen.”
