Novak Djokovic’s father makes bizarre request for Queen Elizabeth to intervene

Novak Djokovic’s father Srdjan has bizarrely called on Queen Elizabeth to intervene and protect the human rights of his son.
The world no.1 is battling to stay in the country ahead of next week’s Australian Open, where he hopes to capture a record-breaking 21st major.
Djokovic’s statement prompted a rebuke from Australian Monarchist League national chair Philip Benwell, who told Larry Graham – filling in for Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings this week – Her Majesty had no power to rule on the matter.
“It shows he has no understanding of the Australian constitution … or the way things work,” he said.
