Melbourne Tram driver David is on holidays in Paris and was planning to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral the next morning when a devastating fire broke out.

He told 6PR Breakfast the news of the sacred site being up in flames has hit the locals hard.
“It’s a pretty surreal place here at the moment the locals are very upset,” he says.
“We’ve recently been in a bar… the owner of the bar couldn’t talk about what was going on because he was so upset.”
