‘Not a day for politics’: PM won’t address Republican movement

The Prime Minister has told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast today is not the day for politics after he was asked if Australians would embrace the reign of King Charles III after Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
Anthony Albanese appointed a minister for the advancing the republic cause upon his election but did not want to discuss anything other than Her Majesty’s legacy and reign today.
“Today is not a day for anything other than to pay tribute to Her Majesty and her contribution,” he said.
