A Noranda man has suffered serious head injuries after jumping on to the roof of his car after it was stolen.

The man was inside his house at about 7.30 last night after he noticed someone attempting to steal his vehicle.

Nine News reporter Kelly Haywood told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast he then grabbed the car’s roof racks before it travelled 1km down Camboon Road.

“It is quite an extraordinary story, thinking someone jumped on to the roof of their own car to try and stop it from being stolen,” Ms Haywood said.
