‘Nobody wants this racetrack,’ says Basil Zempilas, advocating for health system redirection

The Leader of the Opposition has criticised the Cook government’s continued pursuit of the $217.5 million racetrack project at Burswood.

Basil Zempilas told Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the racetrack is unwanted and its funds would be better allocated to the health system.
‘It stands to reason that West Aussies would want a project like this scrapped and that money, $217.5 million dollars urgently redirected into health and hospitals,’ he said.
