Noble sacking increases speculation on Adam Simpson’s future

West Coast is confident of keeping contracted coach Adam Simpson as heavy speculation the North Melbourne stalwart will be poached by his former club, which sacked David Noble on Tuesday morning.
Simpson played 306 games for the Kangaroos and is contracted until 2024 by the Eagles, who sit just a game above North Melbourne anchored to the bottom of the AFL ladder.
Geoff Walsh has recently been advising the struggling club’s football department, with the veteran administrator spending this month assessing list management as well as helping on match day.
David Noble says his players were “shattered” to find out he’d be exiting the club.

6PR sports presenter Paddy Sweeney said Noble’s exit came after less than two years in the job at the club, where things went from bad to worse under his reign.
“It’s shown off the field and obviously on field… they’re currently looking for their fourth coach in five years,” Sweeney told Breakfast host Gareth Parker.
