No-grounds terminations are rising across Perth, adding to the tensions in our already tight rental market.

60 days notice is all a landlord legally needs to provide in order terminate a lease, where the law allows them to do so at any given time with no legitimate reason via a no-grounds termination.

The WA Government is now considering a review of rental tenancy laws, following the Victorian Government who decided to remove the law a few years ago.

Danika Adair-La told Simon Beaumont on Perth Live that she has seen no-grounds terminations increase to 40 percent of her workload in today’s tight rental market.

Press PLAY to hear why this is putting pressure on Perth’s rental market
