Lachie Hunter, Shadow Minister for Agriculture and Food, conveyed to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that this represents a clear budget cut and raised concerns about its wider implications.

‘It’s actually a really good opportunity for our city cousins to actually go and experience what agriculture is like, where their milk comes from and where their food comes from, and you know this is a very small incentive, but I think it’s a really important one,’ he said.
