Among socially disadvantaged adults, nicotine-containing vapes are more effective in helping people quit smoking than nicotine gum or lozenges.
Head of the Tobacco Research Group at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre Ryan Courtney joined Oliver Peterson to discuss the research.
“It was a very surprising but also great result.”
“We found that the quit rates were three times higher in those allocated to the vaping nicotine product group,” Courtney said on Perth Live.
