New Australian research has found that men who carry a common gene are twice as likely to develop dementia in their lifetime compared to women.

Curtin Medical School co-author Professor John Olynyk spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Russell Collett and said the risk of dementia in men more than doubled for those who had variants in the haemochromatosis gene.
