New push for daylight savings in WA

The daylight saving debate has returned to the west, with a new push for more sunlight in the evening.
6PR Breakfast listeners flooded the airwaves with divided opinions, before Daylight Saving WA leader Wilson Tucker, the MP who wants to introduce a private Daylight Savings Bill to Parliament, told host Gareth Parker recent Census data showed more support for daylight saving in metro areas.
“If you look at the data and also talk to people as well, you’ll see there’s majority support for the issue,” Tucker said.
Tucker said it was time MPs voted for what they believed in and what their constituents wanted.
“A lot of these captain calls… they’re [Labor] really just ramming things through, and the Premier is making a lot of decisions,” he said.
