Virgin Australia is launching non-stop flights to the apple isle in November, with tickets going for as little $149.

The Perth to Launceston seasonal route will take off on November 5 and finish after the holidays in late January 2022.

Speaking with Millsy, Tourism Tasmania CEO John  Fitzgerald said there are plenty of reasons to visit Tassie’s northern city.

“It’s a big nature based destination

“It’s beautiful for the wildnerness and very accessible from our city.”

Mr Fitzgerald said there’s more than just trees, listing off the best mountain biking in the world, fly fishing, a top notch wine region and the unique Cataract Gorge near the middle of the city.
