Baby names popular 100 years ago are about to come back into fashion.

Gareth Parker wants to test the theory that names go in and out of trend every 100 years, with several from early last century set for a comeback.

Three historical names in the top 10 tipped for a comeback among boys are also the names of one of Parker’s sons, as well as 6PR on-air colleagues Oliver Peterson and Adam Papalia.

“If you share a name with one on the list, or have named your child after one of them, let us know,” Parker told listeners on Thursday.

The 100-year prediction was based on trend analysis from researchers, with the Royals also shown to influence name cycles.
