Netball is returning to freeview television. The Nine deal, which extends to 2031, will bring the sport out from a paywall for the first time in five years.

Netball Australia chair Liz Ellis explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that the deal will include the World Cup, Suncorp Super Netball and Australian Diamonds matches.

“We need to have them up in lights and have them front and centre because they are the people who will inspire the next generation of little girls and increasingly little boys to take up the sport,” she said.

She went on to state,“Netball is the fastest-growing participation sport for men and boys in this country.”
