NDIS to blame for higher rates of childhood autism, study finds

Autism rates across Australia have risen faster in regions where the NDIS scheme has been rolled out, a new report has found.

The report suggests the scheme has influenced people seeking and receiving a diagnosis.

Professor Adam Guastella from the Brain and Mind Centre told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live that people don’t seek diagnosis if there’s no support system in place.
