Nature play areas not being utilised by teachers despite enhancing learning

A new study has found outdoor play areas are not being regularly used in primary schools despite the benefits outdoor play has on children’s physical and cognitive development.

“They can be used more for curriculum learning… and excite kids,” said Dr Miller.
“There is evidence to show engagement can improve in an outside environment.”
