Nationals Leader urges Albanese to reinstate the Agriculture visa

The Albanese Government has told the OECD that Australia can be part of the solution to help feed the world due to global food shortages. Nationals Leader David Littleproud is now urging the Prime Minister to reinstate the Agriculture visa to ensure farmers can have access to skilled and semi-skilled workers.
David Littleproud told Simon Beaumont on Perth Live that the new Labor Government has abolished the visa in order to ensure farmers only have access to pacific standard workers.
“Pacific standard is important, but it has run its course and we are competing with other industries in the economy. Whereas the ag-visa was designed specifically for agricultural workers that gave us unique access to it,” he said.
