If you something felt a tad astray on your journey to work this morning rest assured… there was.

6PR Breakfast revealed to listeners on Thursday morning the massive dome atop the City West building on the outskirts of the CBD was missing.

Listener Matt then told the program he spotted the structure in the carpark next door to the venue.

Precise Building Solutions was responsible for removing the dome and managing director Matthew Adams said a new upgrade was in the works.

“There were a few sleepless nights leading up… you never know how these things are going to react. It was quite a large structure,” he told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker.

The project to replace the dome was 18 months in the making and, while Mr Adams stayed mum on the new design, he revealed it would entail “a fantastic lighting system”.
