Erin Patterson, 50, a triple murderer, has been sentenced to life in prison with a non-parole period of 33 years.

She was found guilty of murdering three in-laws and attempting to murder a fourth by serving them poisonous death cap mushrooms at a 2023 lunch.

The verdict, which garnered international interest, was livestreamed from the Victorian Supreme Court in a historic first.

Justice Christopher Beale stated, “I have no hesitation in finding that your offending falls into the worst category for the offences of murder and attempted murder.”
