A Perth mother has made a desperate plea for help as the bullying of her two teenage daughters has reached the point where they are now scared to go to school.

Naomi said she has recently become aware of the level of bullying, which includes her 15-year-old receiving direct and personal letters and social media messages.

“I approached the school about it and there wasn’t a whole lot being done,” Naomi told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings.

“I was basically being told to get them to get over it and build more resilience.”

Surf Online Safe operator and former police officer Paul Litherland told Gary Adshead bullying is a prevalent and ever-growing issue, especially on online platforms.

“When parents feel they don’t have any options or availability to assist. it’s a terrible situation to be in,” Mr Litherland said.

“The way these networks are created, it’s so sad the victim has to back down and hide away.”
