Jacob Weitering has bravely shared he lost his life savings after falling prey to a phone scam.

The Carlton vice-captain shared that he believed he was dealing with his bank while being lead into an elaborate grift.

Sports reporter Mark Readings commended Weitering on 6PR Breakfast for coming forth with the information in the effort to raise the issue publicly.

“Hopefully he can find a way out of his financial troubles,” he said.
