The mother of a 25-year-old man assaulted in Falcon has spoken about her son’s condition and the events of the day.

Her son suffered a concussion, multiple facial injuries, a fractured cheekbone, a broken nose and dental damage after he was allegedly struck with rocks during an altercation on Monday.

Shandelle Pomfret, the victim’s mother, told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that she could not thank the people who assisted her son enough.

“Multiple people rushed over to the scene to ensure he was okay and breathing. Everyone was fantastic, and seeing that sense of community and the fact people still care was amazing”, Pomfret said.
