The Prime Minister has reminded WA voters that a vote for Anthony Albanese is not a vote for Mark McGowan in the next election.

Scott Morrison touched down in Perth on Tuesday ahead of the 2022 Federal election.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, Mr Morrison says working with the WA Labor Party is different to working with the Federal Labor Party.

“It’s not the same thing. At the next federal election, whoever you vote for, Mr McGowan will be the premier the next day,” he said.

6PR and Nine News reporter Gary Adshead says he believes Mr Morrison is making a last-ditch attempt to win WA voters.

“He’s riding a little bit on the coattails by saying ‘we’ve helped the McGowan government all the way through the pandemic’, which we know is not the case,” he told Oliver Peterson. “He’s now really focusing on ‘playing the man’ style of politics and that says to me they’ve got to do everything because they know they’re in trouble.”
