Scientists have lashed out at state government saying more can be done to save trees from the destructive polyphagous shot-hole borer.

Peter Keating, managing director of Bioscience WA, spoke to 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead expressing the need for greater research on treating trees as opposed to destroying them.

“We can certainly be doing more if the stricture imposed by current regulation is removed,” Mr Keating said.
