More schools across Australia are installing discrete vape detectors inside toilets in a bid to combat the student vape smoking crisis.

The silent alarm technology has the ability to alert staff via email or SMS when the detector goes off.

Vape Detection Australia, David Pugh, told 6PR Breakfast their products are being sold Australia wide.

“They’re like a smoke detector on steroids – it’s quite discrete,” Mr Pugh said.
