Federal Member for Perth Patrick Gorman has stood by his comments that Peter Dutton is largely responsible for public anger against Woolworths, including accusations of vandalism and abuse.

Mr Gorman took to Twitter yesterday, labelling his “juvenile call for a boycott” as the cause of threats to staff and damage to property at Woolworths stores nationally.

“It’s the one policy he’s announced this year,” Mr Gorman said.

“These people were the heroes of the pandemic, let’s not forget.”
