Mark Zahra has pulled off the very difficult, winning to Melbourne Cups in a row, and the WA contingent have been quick in declaring their victory.

The Glen Forrest native has made it two Melbourne Cups in a row, and his auntie Cath Denton told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons they’re just as proud of him this time ’round.

“I can hardly speak, I’ve been screaming that much,” Ms Denton said.

“He absolutely had a fantastic ride; what a win for a boy from the hills!”
