Medicare set to cut vital heart health check

The number of Medicare Heart Health checks is expected to reach 500,000 since its launch in 2019, however, the service is set to be cut at the end of June.
Heart Foundation’s Healthcare programs manager Natalie Raffoul told Perth Live this is the only prevention check covered by the government.
“With its removal, we can see that there’ll be tens of thousands more preventable heart disease events impacting Australia,” said Ms Raffoul.
