The rift between the City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas and the McGowan Government is continuing to grow over snubs from Perth City Deal media events.

A war of words raged earlier this week after Mr Zempilas wasn’t invited to the sod-turning ceremony for the causeway pedestrian bridge.

He says now the council’s logo won’t feature on signage at ECU’s new CBD campus being built on Wellington Street.

“On behalf of the ratepayers of the City of Perth I feel like there is a lack of respect for the recognition of their contribution to making these great projects happen,” Mr Zempilas told Gary Adshead.
