Water users along the coastline in our northern suburbs will not face parking fees at popular beaches despite the local council reviewing its public parking policy.

City of Joondalup mayor Albert Jacob says the council is reviewing its paid parking policy in relation to the new Ocean Reef Marina, where fees could be implemented for boat trailer parking or exclusive parking for boat pen holders, and any commercial arrangements.

“We are 100 per cent not planning to charge for parking at any of our general beaches, that won’t be considered,” the mayor told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker.
