Barlow told Beaumont he can see a real sense of maturity in the 2026 side and believes their early stumbles this finals series could ultimately work to their advantage.

“I look at it as a blessing the way they’ve actually landed in this grand final, with so much upside, and they would have been able to review the last couple of games really strongly, rather than a good win in a qualifying final, a good win in a prelim, and you’re just anxiously waiting to hopefully put that product out there again on grand final day”, Barlow said.
