A man has died after a dingy capsized in the state’s mid-west on 10:30am on Friday morning.

Police say two men were onboard when the boat overturned near Green Head just north of Jurien Bay.

One of the men swam ashore while water police, helicopters and local vessels searched for the missing man.

Listener Terry said police had focused their search on the north end of Dynamite Bay.

“I was just speaking to a mate of mine, the boat capsized, and one bloke came ashore – he swam ashore, and apparently they’re looking for the other person, and that was four hours ago,” he said.
