WA Police have charged a man with manslaughter, after the death of Jack Kinneen (pictured), who was killed last month in an explosion as he approached a fire in Pinjar.

Kinneen, who was to become a father within weeks, was 4WDing with friends on September 22 when they approached a deliberately-lit fire. The 23-year-old got out of the car to inspect the fire when an explosion occurred, and he died at the scene.

Deputy Commissioner Allan Adams revealed to 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker a 38-year-old man has been charged over Kinneen’s death and will appear in court today.
