Dockers defender Luke Ryan says Heath Chapman will become one of the club’s next big stars.

The young defender’s match-winning spoil on the goal line in the dying seconds of Fremantle’s one-point win away against Adelaide on Sunday was one of the more remarkable feats to win a game of football in recent memory.

Ryan told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast he believes Chapman is destined for greatness.

“I think he’s going to be one of the best backmen Freo’s ever had,” Ryan said in his regular 7.15am chat with Parker on a Thursday.
